3 Reasons To Sleep with Your Child


When I was a kid my parents usually told me to always sleep in order for me to grow fast. At first, I totally don't understand why they want me to do that. Every night, when my mom will tell me that it is time to sleep, my usual response to her is to make tantrums especially when I'm still enjoying playing or watching  on the television. But afterwards, still, I will follow her and she will give me a big goodnight hug. Studies show that sleep is just as important as diet and exercise.  Also, children and even teens should have at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep. And to attain that parent will play a vital role.


1.   Children will sleep better. Fear is one of the leading causes why children can't sleep at night. Be with them together in bed, will help them to feel secure and safe with thoughts that no one could ever hurt them while they sleep. I have a cousin before who has a fear of ghost. Every night, she always thinks that there is someone in her room that will eat her. So every time she feels sleepy, her mother come with her in bed until she fell asleep.

Sleeping  with your child at night can also prevent the feeling of loneliness. When a child accidentally awake in the middle of the night  and she saw that there is no one with her, the very common thing that she will do is to cry. To avoid this, parents especially moms will go with her children and teach them to pray or tell them a story to give them comfort. 
   


2.    It helps children to  avoid and prevent sleep problems. Normally, parents always try to tell their children to sleep even if a child doesn't really want to sleep. Though we all know that parents have a good reason why they are trying to force their child to sleep, it is still not advisable to do that. In the article entitled Ten Reason to Sleep with your Baby, states that many of the sleep problems are the result of trying to force children to sleep alone. It is also said that forcing your child to sleep before they ready may result to unwanted or unnecessary distress which alters their developing nervous systems and may contribute to panic disorders and other stress-related problems in adulthood. So what a parent should do, is to enjoy the moments while your children is still awake in bedtimes. We all know that parents either mom/dad is the number one person that can understand their child.

3.    It can make you closer and enjoy being together. Seeing your child smiling and happy is one thing, but being the reason of  his/her happiness is everything.We are all aware that parents want to give everything to their children and sleeping with them will create a close and better relationship. It will not only benefit your child but also you. Together as a family you can create many happy and unforgettable moments that also can contribute to the personality of your child to be open and honest to you honest to you so better sleep together with your memory foam mattresses.
